We're PIE. It's an acronym for Portland Incubator Experiment. Emphasis on the experiment part. PIE is a collective of people working together because of a mutual interest and inclination towards the startup community and the startup business model. It was formed after several of us worked on side projects together, and lamented how nice it would be to have a common office for us to gather. Renny Gleeson from Wieden+Kennedy heard us, and helped us secure our current, amazing office in the first floor of W+K; which they graciously provide. PIE is part co-working space and part incubator with a variety of skills and abilities in our midst. Companies working from the space include:

We've 'graduated' Urban Airship, which is our way of saying they got too big so we told them to leave. They now work in a connected office next to PIE. We work together to share excitement, resources, encouragement, and the simple necessities of an office. We host events, bring in speakers, and love for out-of-town guests to come by when invited. Sometimes we work with W+K to do cool shit for their clients. Sometimes we just drink from the keg.
